Join a Committee

Joining a NAWBO Greater Raleigh committee is a great way to form lasting relationships with other NAWBO-GR members.  Committees provide an excellent opportunity for you to develop leadership skills and stay current on emerging business issues while continuing to learn, share and inspire other women business owners in the RDU area.

Feel free to contact any of the committee chairs if you have questions. Click on the BOD page to see current contact information.

Corporate Relations

Large and small businesses value the opportunity to present products and services to NAWBO-Great Raleigh’s diverse group of women business owners. As part of the Corporate Relations committee, you can ensure the continuing stability of NAWBO-GR and gain introductions to decision makers at potential, new, and existing NAWBO-GR sponsor organizations, companies where an introduction may otherwise be difficult to obtain.

Membership

“Build relationships, build your business” is a primary focus for NAWBO Greater Raleigh and its Membership Committee is tasked with member recruitment, engagement and retention. Serving on the Membership Committee is a fabulous way to meet new, existing and potential NAWBO-GR members!

Programs

We host five (5) luncheons and five (5) evening programs each year. Our impactful luncheons feature impressive speakers presenting immediately relevant content to help you grow your business and positively impact the greater community. Our fun evening programs allow members and their guests to network in a more casual setting while meeting local businesses and business experts.

Mentoring

NAWBO Greater Raleigh members have access to valuable mentoring, educational and support opportunities including workshops, round tables, and mentoring opportunities. Join us and assist in coordinating and managing these wonderful member benefits.

Round Tables

Round table discussion groups provide a forum for building trusted relationships among members and where peers meet monthly to discuss and explore business ideas and challenges in an open, receptive environment. NAWBO's premier member-only round table groups are chosen from an application process and are formed with no competing businesses represented within each group.

Public Policy

Unlike other networking groups, NAWBO’s public policy focus provides a platform for women business owners to join together as one voice that translates into a formidable economic force and an effective agent for change in the business environment, at the national, state and local level.  NAWBO National represents women-owned businesses through Congressional testimony, public policy conferences and member education. Join us and lend your support toward our non-partisan public policy advocacy efforts.
