President's Report

Let's see everyone at the upcoming NAWBO 2013-2014 installation meeting on Thursday, June 13.  Let's celebrate our 2012-2013 year and welcome our upcoming 2013-2014 year. 

Thanks to our 2012-2013 Membership Committee headed up by Olalah Njenga, we have grown by 17% which is HUGE for a NAWBO chapter. Let's all grab a glass (wine or water) at the installation meeting and toast our successes. 

If you haven't done so already, please register for the event. The more, the merrier.

Women on the Move

Congratulations to Karen Albright who was honored at the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce’s Pinnacle Business Awards luncheon on May 29.  Her company, Body Lase Skin Spa, was given the Steady Growth and Profitability Award. 

During the luncheon, emerging companies were honored as well as companies that have exhibited a substantial history as an establishedbusiness. Entrepreneurial businesses received awards for their staying power, business growth, community involvement, and innovation along with their steady growth and profitability during the past three years.
